Description of General Responsibilities

This position will strengthen and grow the school’s digital and social media presence in support of the EPIC Strategic Plan, brand awareness, specific programs, recruitment, events and initiatives. Key goals and activities are to:
* Elevate social media reach and audience engagement. Develop and run strategic social media campaigns, constituent outreach/tagging, community management, event support and reporting for School of Business accounts on various social platforms.
* Write and create compelling, on-brand digital and social content such as copy, photo, video, live-feeds and infographics. Work with colleagues, vendors and student workers as needed to ensure steady content pipeline and high quality content.
* Increase social media alignment and impact, working with colleagues who manage social media at the university level and at the department/program level.
* Manage photo library and coordinate headshot sessions.
* Contribute to Communications & Marketing team, providing ideas and taking on other duties as needed.
*Once the school’s new website is implemented, the position will manage website content via a CMS. Keep content up-to-date, create new content aligned with brand strategy, make continuous improvements, and fulfill update requests by departments, programs, offices and centers. Maintain news and events feeds.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) and/or Competencies required to successfully perform the work:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side
* Skills in developing on-brand content and storytelling for the digital space
* Solid understanding of social media, the significance of community, how to engage people and curate conversations and good will
* Effective in managing stakeholder relationships and maximizing shared content
* Trustworthiness to serve as a brand ambassador and to and handle issues or escalate as appropriate
* Working knowledge of the principles of SEM and SEO
* Strategic thinker who will help grow our online presence as the communications landscape changes
* Able to update website in T4 CMS, post on social media, monitor and report on performance
* Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously
* Knowledge of higher ed environment preferred
* Team-player with a sense of humor

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent in experience
* Several years of experience in advertising, marketing, communications or public relations
* Proven success in digital content creation and social media management
* Demonstrated experience and a passion for the social media universe of platforms and tools.
* Experience with creating and identifying quality social media content ideally related to higher education
* Ability to work in a diverse work environment required

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with online monitoring and measurement platforms

*Basic understanding of HTML would be a plus
