Description of the Job

Assist in technical assistance and troubleshooting computer and technical issues for the staff of both the Division of Student Affairs and the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting and repairing various pc hardware configurations, the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems (2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10) and Mac OS X, various peripherals such as printers and scanners, basic network experience and troubleshooting and virus/spyware/malware resolution.

Applicants are not required to know computers but must be capable of learning quickly how to troubleshoot and resolve issues regarding computer systems as well as being able to work well independently.

Required Qualifications

A good troubleshooting & problem solving mind, a quick learner, being able to work well independently, good customer service, able to deal well with a high-paced work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledgeable with computers and can diagnose hardware and software issues; Apple Macs or Windows PC’s. Knowledgeable with basic networking and can diagnose network issues.
