Description of General Responsibilities

The Academic Program and Student Support Assistant responds to all requests from the MSW Program Director related to MSW student and faculty academic affairs. This position provides support to the MSW admissions process including responding to queries about the admissions process, preparing and distributing of printed materials related to admissions, entering student admission information in the data base, and maintaining student admission records. In addition, this individual works with faculty [both adjunct and regular faculty] to act as point of contact in the MSW program.

Required Qualifications

Must possess knowledge and competency in the following computer skills: Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, as well as overall computer usage relative to the internet and email usage. Must be able to work in a diverse environment. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must demonstrate the ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and adhere to project deadlines. Ability to quickly learn new programs and applications. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Must have some administrative and data entry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

College Degree preferred. Experience in higher education, and a demonstrated commitment to professional social work education.
