Description of the Job

Machine Shop Foreman will assist Lab Manager with training and instructions to users of the machine shop for safety-related issues and provide technical assistance in machining operation to users. Will monitor the tool and supply inventory and notify Lab Manager on supplies/tools needed for the Shop. Will assist Lab Manager to ensure proper labeling of hazardous materials. Responsible for general cleanliness of the machine shop.

Required Qualifications

The candidate must be mechanically inclined and willing to learn. Previous machining experience or completion of the SoEng Innovation Shop Training Module III is desirable. Experience with power tools is a plus. Preference will be given to students.
