Description of the Job | Machine Shop Foreman will assist Lab Manager with training and instructions to users of the machine shop for safety-related issues and provide technical assistance in machining operation to users. Will monitor the tool and supply inventory and notify Lab Manager on supplies/tools needed for the Shop. Will assist Lab Manager to ensure proper labeling of hazardous materials. Responsible for general cleanliness of the machine shop. |
Required Qualifications | The candidate must be mechanically inclined and willing to learn. Previous machining experience or completion of the SoEng Innovation Shop Training Module III is desirable. Experience with power tools is a plus. Preference will be given to students. |
